  1. Do you have written 100% satisfaction guarantees?
  2. Is the company state licensed by the State of Georgia?
  3. Are the installers and technicians NATE certified? Quality Technicians link
  4. Ask to see a copy of the contractor’s Worker’s Compensation and Liability Insurance certificate?
  5. Is the equipment properly matched and sized for my home?
  6. Does the company have Planned Maintenance Agreement programs for my new Commercial or Residential heating and air units?
  7. What are your company’s warranties and warranty hours in case I have an after hours issue?
  8. What is the SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) and AFUE (Annual Utilization Efficiency) of the equipment?
  9. Am I getting name-brand, proven quality equipment? 
  10. Do you have service department? 
  11. How long has the company been in the business? 
  12. Do you offer financing?
  13. Can you provide me with 3 current references?

Available Tax Credits

President Bush signed the Energy Policy Act of 2005 on August 8th, giving tax credits up to $500.00 (lifetime credit) for energy efficiency improvements made by homeowners on existing homes. The Act will allow individual taxpayers a new personal tax credit for certain energy efficient property (equipment, windows, doors, insulation) installed in the taxpayer's principal residence.
